I’m a clinical research psychoanalyst… in other words, someone who comes to psychoanalytic training through academic life and work. As a professor of literature, I focus on the way language and expression make us who we are. Working in literatures in different languages I recognize that different vocabularies open us to different perspectives. And this is as true for individuals as it is for cultures. We each need to be heard and understood in the fullness of our own voices.
As a psychoanalyst I know that how we understand ourselves and make our lives meaningful can present us with our greatest challenges. In the therapeutic setting, I listen to and appreciate the authenticity of my clients’ voices and help individuals and couples deepen their understanding of themselves and those around them. Whether you are looking to enrich your quality of life and self-knowledge or have specific issues that you want to resolve, we can work together so that you can experience greater satisfaction with yourself and your relationships.
